2002 Soul-Patrol East Coast Convention
July 19 2003, Mount Holly, NJ

Greetings Soul-Patrollers,

I am sending you this special edition of the Soul-Patrol Newsletter because I want to make sure that you are aware of the up to the minute details, as they evolve concerning the 2003 Soul-Patrol East Coast Convention .  As those of you who attended the Soul-Patrol East Coast Convention last year already know, it was off the hook!  I am even more excited about this year's Convention.

There are some good reasons why I am excited...

  • We have an expanded guest list, featuring some of the greatest names (scroll down), representing the past, present and future Soul-Music
  • We have both an afternoon and an evening program for you this year.

--The afternoon program is focused on providing top level information, discussion and action plans, facilitated by Soul-Patrollers who are broadcasters, journalists, activists, authors, artists and music industry experts.  In short, these people are the "thought leaders" concerning the past, present future of our music and the session is open to people of all ages.

-- The evening program is going to be a "stone cold funky joint", featuring some special LIVE musical performances, top DJ's from around the United States spinning Classic Soul, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Slow Jams, Black Rock, Doo Wop and Nu Soul, a truly difficult Soul Music Trivia Contest :) and more.

-- Both the afternoon and evening sessions will be held at a 400 seat facility in Mount Holly NJ, just off of exit 5 of the NJ Turnpike, equidistant from Washington DC and NYC

  • CD's, Pictures, Books, Etc. By Soul-Patrol Artists Will Be Available!!!!!!!!!!

Just as last year, 100 percent of the profits from the Soul-Patrol East Coast Convention will be donated to the Open Up My Heart Foundation.  This foundation, started by our own "Mighty, Mighty Dells" provides assistance for the "forgotten" 9-11 victims.

We have organized caravans of Soul-Patrollers making the trip from Baltimore/Washington DC, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago and NYC and we have individuals coming from as far away as California and Europe so far.

If you are planning on attending, please let me know ASAP.

I want to make sure that everyone from here Soul-Patrol Mailing List who comes, has a seat.

This year we have made it easier for you to attend by offering three different ways to buy tickets (online, US Mail or at the door).

If you are unable to attend this year's event due to geographical or other considerations, you can still participate by purchasing a ticket.

The details are on the convention website at:
